The Training Center for Applied Tech & AI for Women (TCW) officially launches in August 2025 in Zurich, marking a strong step toward greater equality in artificial intelligence. Its mission is to equip women with practical AI skills and the confidence to not only keep pace in tomorrow’s dynamic labor market but to take on leadership roles.

The inaugural program, AI Navigator Day Women, takes place on 20 September 2025 at Launchspace Zurich, followed by additional dates on 4 October (German) and 25 October (English). This one-day, hands-on training is designed for professional women—regardless of technical background—who want to turn AI from a buzzword into a concrete advantage for their careers.

“AI opens new doors for us to explore, create, and grow. At AI Navigator Day, I want to remove barriers and help every participant leave more confident, curious, and capable,” says Elena Rovati, Head of TCW Education & Senior Lecturer.

Starting 1 September 2025, Magalie Heraud, Board Member of the Innovationsverband Schweizer Arbeitsmarkt (ISA), will take over as Head of TCW. She emphasizes the broader societal mission:“Helping women build AI skills and confidence is not just about competencies—it’s a societal imperative. It’s about equity, opportunity, and the future of work.”

TCW aims to close the existing AI Confidence Gap, meeting women where they are—whether re-entering the workforce, pivoting careers, or strengthening their competitiveness. Instead of theory-heavy approaches, the training uses real business situation simulations to create a safe space for experimentation, learning, and growth.

TCW was developed in partnership with the Innovationsverband Schweizer Arbeitsmarkt (ISA), ATLASS Technology AG, and the Graduate School for Applied Technology & Management as venture partners, and is supported by a strong network including Women in Tech® Switzerland, Digital Winterthur, and Swiss AI Weeks. Further collaborations are already in the pipeline.

The launch comes at a time when Switzerland—an economy built on innovation and trust—faces the challenge of adapting quickly to the accelerating AI shift. Research shows that women remain underrepresented in AI-related fields and often hesitate to engage due to a confidence gap rather than a skills gap. This is precisely where TCW steps in—with practical, role-aligned training, measurable outcomes, and a growing ecosystem of partners.
